Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly blog post by Jill over at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights releases we're eagerly awaiting.
Hello, hello, on a wonderful Wednesday morning :)
I've been wondering what book to include on my WoW post today. I really wanted it to be the second installment of Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake. But guess what - there's no title and no cover for it yet. So, I'm including something else, which is just as much intriguing.
Maya Delaney’s paw-print birthmark is the sign of what she truly is—a skin-walker. She can run faster, climb higher, and see better than nearly anyone else. Experiencing intense connections with the animals that roam the woods outside her home, Maya knows it’s only a matter of time before she’s able to Shift and become one of them. And she believes there may be others in her small town with surprising talents.
Now, Maya and her friends have been forced to flee from their homes during a forest fire they suspect was deliberately set. Then they’re kidnapped, and after a chilling helicopter crash, they find themselves in the Vancouver Island wilderness with nothing but their extraordinary abilities to help them get back home. Plentiful action and romance in this second installment in the Darkness Rising series will keep readers enthralled to the last page.
What are you waiting on this Wednesday?
Ohhh I have to admit, I'm really not a big Kelly Armstrong fan. I've had some bad experiences with her books. Hopefully I'll be able to find something by her that I really love though!
ReplyDeleteI have yet to read anything by Kelley Armstrong, but I hear she's a great author. And boy, this sure sounds interesting! I think it's time to put some of her work on the to-read list! :) Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteI still have The Gathering on my shelf, need to read it soon. I love the covers for this series, don't you?
ReplyDeleteAlso I'm not sure if Anna Dressed in Blood had a different cover in Bulgaria than the US, but here in the US the cover and synopsis for Anna #2 was released. Here is the link to Goodreads for the second book in the series: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/12507214-girl-of-nightmares
Thanks for stopping by my blog :) Awesome pick!

ReplyDeleteWelcome Van :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for that link!! I love the Anna series. I hope Blake keeps writing in the same intriguing way ;)
You know, a while ago I tried reading the other YA series by Kelley Armstrong, but they were really not worth my time. I had to put the book down no more than 30 pages into it. It was so boring.
ReplyDeleteThis series though, it's fast paced, it's intriguing, it's paranormal, it's AMAZING!!! Too bad I don't have a review of it to let you know just how awesome it is :) I seriously can't wait for the Calling to come out.
I like Armstrong's novel, I still remember her The Summoning. It was great!
ReplyDeleteHope you'll enjoy The Calling when you get it!
Thanks for stopping by!
