Follow Friday #2

Photobucket

Follow Me Friday is a book meme hosted by Parajunkee's View and Alison Can Read. #FF is a blog hop that expands your blog following by a joint effort
between bloggers. In order to join in the fun, all you need is well . . . A book blog :)

This week's question:
Q: What's the craziest thing you've ever done to get your hands on any particular book?

A: Well, I don't know if that counts as crazy exactly, but since I live in Bulgaria, some books (even in e-format) are kind of difficult to get. Such was the case with the e-novella "Never to Sleep" by Rachel Vincent, because it was (mainly) available on B&N for the advertised price of dollar something, while on amazon the cost was three times higher. Naturally, I wanted to buy it at minimal cost. But B&N wouldn't let me, since they only 'deliver' to the US and CA. So, I ended up calling my sister, who lives in the States, to purchase it for me, then send it over. Well, that didn't quite work out. The next day or two I just roamed the net for any site that would sell it to me. Turns out Harlequin Teen worked just fine LOL

Hop in, follow and share the luuuurve!!! :))

    1. Usually it isn't all that difficult, since Amazon has most of the books in their database. But this one was being sold at 3 times the price that Rachel wanted. I was like... no way!! LOL

  5. I've found it so crazy how much higher they are overseas! We talk about this regularly...I'll send deals to my friends and one is in Sweden so they are always much more expensive for her.

  6. Hey!
Haha, we're neighbors, just the Danube between us :))
Yeah, I can certainly fraternize with you on this one, sometimes it's a real sport trying to get an ebook, not to mention getting them on Amazon at 3$ more expensive then US peeps, when they don't deliver it to any Kindle but I download it to my PC, seems really steep. But hey, we're used to dealing with weird stuff, right? lol

Thanks for stopping by, following you back!

  18. It really sucks that B&N isn't INTL, I hope they got INTL at some point - it'd be good for them! I'm glad you were able to get it from Harlequin though! Thanks so much for featuring my button on your blog! I think I already follow you in my RSS feed reader, but I'll check and if not, I'm definitely adding you :D
