In her shoes ~ 34 ~

Every Tuesday I will pick a character I've read about recently, perhaps even the week before, and try putting myself in her shoes. What things would I do differently? What have I learned from her behavior? That kind of thing. You are welcome to participate if you want, just please link back, so we could build a nice community of followers. Thanks!!! :)

I read The Lost Son last week and enjoyed it very much. Haven't written my review yet, but I'm planning to do so on Thursday.

So, anyway, the girl featured in this stand alone novel is called Corrine. In a couple of weeks she goes through the huge change of losing her best friend Cody (who she is also in love with) in a horrible car accident, only to end up having to help the juvenile who caused the crash in the first place.

Yeah, sounds pretty bad already. But check this out, the juvie, a.k.a. Jacob turns out not to be this big looser Corrine imagined him to be. Sure he had attitudinal problems, and she sure punched the heck out of him as a 'Hello', but that didn't seem to stop her heart from slipping in his general direction.

Can you imagine how huge a heart Corrine must have if she was able to forgive Jacob for what he did to Cody, and actually give him a chance to handle her heart? She was a really brave and straight forward girl, and I liked her for it.

Whose shoes would you like to step into this week?

  2. She sounds like an awesome character and forgiveness isn't easy, so she definitely has a huge heart. Thanks so much for sharing, Vanya.

Couldn't do my In Her Shoes post week since I haven't read new books but can't wait for the next post. Have a good Tuesday :)
