However, I firmly bel...Yeah, so I've been told. However, I firmly believe that a novel should include ALL the needed information for a reader to form an opinion about the characters. Prequels are just some recent fashion for authors and publicists to make more sales. I don't think that I should read a bunch of prequels to learn who Calaena was in reality - that's the novel's job.
